Imbolc 2009

This year, Imbolc was also a very good time. There still was lots of snow, but one could already sense the first signs of spring in the air. After a very long January, Imbolc was the beginning of a new periode, a more ecstatic and happier time. There was so much hope in these days.
I celebrated Imbolc in a romantic, snowy and wild forest. At some places, we stuck to our hips in the snow. When we had found a nice place for our ritual, we built an altar in the snow with a candle and a swan feather. After calling to the elements and winds, we talked about about this time, what it meant for us. At the end of the ceremony, we drummed and sang a sacred song.

Moondance

As always at the New Moon, when there is just the sickle of the Young Lady, I go out for dancing under her. It gives so much hope to me and the light returns to us. I am happy.

Bridies Cross

This year I made a Bridies Cross for the first time. I took some twigs from a clematis.

Imbolc

This year Imbolc was some kind of a change for me. For the first time I celebrated that feast with Gudrun Rosenberger (Nemea Goddess Center) and it was really fantastic! I felt like coming home and when I drove back there was a wonderful sky full of stars!
